At age 40, Matt Cullen is the oldest player skating in the NHL Conference Finals. But he’s not just filling shifts, he’s making an impact.

The former Moorhead High School star notched a goal in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, helping Pittsburgh top Ottawa 7-0 to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series. That gives Cullen six points so far in these playoffs, matching his total from the 2015-16 postseason. At the end of that run, the Penguins hoisted the Stanley Cup trophy – the second championship in Cullen’s astounding career.
