Perseverance paying off for Coleman
At the age of 30, longtime Sanford POWER supporter Dusty Coleman is getting another chance in Major League baseball.
The Sioux Falls native recently was called up by the San Diego Padres for his second stint in the Bigs – and he’s making the most of it. A shortstop, Coleman has notched a couple homers, a game-winning hit and some defensive highlights in just five games.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Coleman made his MLB debut in 2015 with the Kansas City Royals during the team’s World Series championship season.
