Melissa A. Moyer
PT, DPT, SCS, ATC, Clinical Biomechanist
Dr. Melissa Moyer is the manager of POWER Sports Physical Therapy at the Sanford Fieldhouse. She is board certified in sports rehabilitation through the APTA and specializes in running biomechanical assessments. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from South Dakota State University, followed by earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. During her time at St. Ambrose University, Melissa extended her clinical expertise in athletic training as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Football and Women’s Volleyball teams. Melissa then completed an orthopedic residency program affiliated with St. Ambrose University and Rock Valley Physical Therapy.
PT, MPT, OCS, SCS, ATC
Dale graduated from South Dakota State University in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. He went on to get a Masters in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic in 1997. He has over 18 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, the last 5 years with Sanford POWER physical therapy in Sioux Falls, SD. He became an orthopedic certified specialist in 2008 and sports certified specialist in 2012, both through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He also spends considerable time working with professional students, serving as a certified clinical instructor for physical therapists and athletic training students since 1998. He has presented at various professional conferences including the Sanford Sports Medicine Symposium. His professional interests includes the evaluation and treatment of knee, shoulder, and spine in orthopedic and sport related patients. He has been a certified ASTYM provider since 2013.
PT, DPT, SCS, ATC
Brett is a physical therapist at the Sanford Fieldhouse. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s in Athletic Training in 2007, where he also played baseball for the Jackrabbits. In addition, he graduated from The University of South Dakota in 2010 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of injuries in overhead athletes. He gained his board certification in sports physical therapy in 2014. Brett works with a variety of athletes but tends to see many with ACL and shoulder injuries. He is an active preceptor for the SDSU athletic training program and also teaches students from numerous physical therapy programs in the Midwest. He continues to be a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is active in the local South Dakota chapter.
PT, DPT, SFMA Level 1 Certified
Levi graduated from the Concordia college in Moorhead, MN with a major in Exercise Science and Biology in 2010. He went on to enter the University of South Dakota’s physical therapy program and graduated with a doctorate of physical therapy in 2013. He has been employed as a Physical Therapist at Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD for 3 years. He sees many different orthopedic conditions and has received a number of certifications including his certification in Applied Functional Science and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). He is a member the American Physical Therapy Association and is a clinical instructor for surrounding physical therapy programs. His professional interests include golf evaluations, injury prevention and biomechanics. Other interests include the treatment of sports medicine patients and return to sport performance.

Matt is a physical therapist for Sanford POWER Sports Therapy at the Fieldhouse. Matt earned his Bachelors of Science degree in athletic training from South Dakota State University in 2011. He then went on to study at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine earning his clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Matt has a passion for working with athletes and the active population. He has a special interest in treatment of foot/ankle conditions and post-surgical ACL rehab. Matt became certified in blood flow restriction rehabilitation in 2017. Matt has attended and presented at a variety of conferences including the Sanford Sports Medicine Symposium. He is active in the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys providing clinical instruction to students from across the nation. Outside of Sanford Health, Matt has been actively enlisted in the military as a member of the South Dakota Air National Guard for the past 10 years.

Adam graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Biology Degree in 2006. He then entered the USD Physical Therapy program and graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009. He has been working for Sanford since 2010. During his time with Sanford, he has achieved a Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS), 3D MAPS movement analysis, and Rocktape Functional Movement Technique taping. He has also been certified as a Nike Golf Performance Specialist. He enjoys seeing all types of patients, but has a special interest in rehabilitating shoulder and knee injuries.
