Sanford POWER is the region’s most well established Sports Performance Training Program. Our goal is to improve athletic performance by stressing the principles of proper functional movement through customized programming based on an individual’s specific needs.

The integrated focus of our professional staff can help maximize an athlete’s potential improvement with their strength, speed, power and agility. In addition, we have the resources to identify those keys components of nutrition, hydration and biomechanics to deliver the most comprehensive program available while reducing the incidence of injury.

Our certified strength coaches, along with our orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, sports nutritionist and the Sanford Sports Science Institute (SSSI), offer the most integrated and comprehensive sports performance programming available to athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Athletes and/or parents can call the front desk at any POWER facility to sign up. Also, online registration is available here.

POWER offers one-on-one, partner, small group and team training programs for athletes. We can customize the days, times and duration to meet the goals of each individual or group. We also offer adult/corporate personal training and circuit class options.

I’m a runner/swimmer/cyclist/triathlete. Can POWER set up a program just for me?

  • Yes. We can customize programming for any sport, and every level of athlete. We also have the resources of the Sanford Sports Science Institute to offer even more biomechanical/physiological testing options.

Please call us for specific services offered at each location or contact us here.

POWER is appropriate for a variety of ages and skill levels. We train youth athletes (ages 10 and up) through adults. This includes recreational, high school, collegiate and professional individuals/teams.
Participants have the choice for sessions to last 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes.
With any training program, there needs to be a way of measuring improvement. We have developed the Sanford SCORE Assessment to measure overall athleticism through a series of power, speed and agility drills. Test results are combined using a scientifically derived, proprietary method. Athletes receive a “number score” that represents overall athleticism and helps to identify strengths and weaknesses.
POWER sessions can consist of a variety of components based on the needs/goals of each individual or group. These can include drills to improve quickness/explosiveness, acceleration/deceleration techniques, strength/power training, jump training, core stability exercises and sport specific conditioning.
Sanford POWER does not offer sport skill workouts/practices. Specific skill work can be received through any of the Sanford Sport Academies. Each location offers different academy options. Please contact the location in your area for more details.
You can contact the POWER facility in your area to ask any questions you may have. If you are new to POWER, we highly recommend calling us to set up a free, no-obligation consult with one of our certified strength coaches to discuss your needs and goals.
