Sam Vosler to lead Sanford POWER Golf Academy

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sanford POWER Golf Academy, the most comprehensive golf program in the region, has promoted Sam Vosler to lead the program.

Vosler, in addition to previously serving as one of the lead instructors at the Sanford POWER Golf Academy, spent three years coaching at the University of Sioux Falls where in 2018 he was promoted to director of the men’s and women’s golf programs. He also coached at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, co-managed an indoor golf training facility and worked with the Hank Haney International Golf Academy in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Vosler attended the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and graduated with a degree in PGA Golf Management/Service Management. He has been a PGA-certified instructor for seven years and won the SCCC Pro-Am on the Dakotas Tour in 2009.

“I have worked side-by-side with Sam for five years and witnessed first-hand the great coach, person and leader he is,” said Todd Kolb, director of sports academies. “His passion for the game and his experience uniquely qualify him. He is the right person to lead our golf academy.”

In addition to Kolb and Vosler, the Sanford POWER Golf Academy is comprised of certified golf professionals Sara Detlefsen and Josh Baldus as well as movement experts and strength and conditioning coaches. The academy works year-round with golfers of all ages and abilities.

Great Shots, a three-story golf entertainment facility located on the Sanford Sports Complex, is the home of the Sanford POWER Golf Academy.
